To get the above image (not wanting to use ๐—”๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ถ๐—ฑ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ etc.), I started with a screenshot of the Sunflower emoji on a white paper background in Samsung Notes. Then, using nothing more sophisticated than the Samsung Gallery Image Editor (๐—ฆ๐—š๐—œ๐—˜)[I'm ๐—” ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐— ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜ (๐—”๐—ฆ๐— ๐—ก)], I resized the image and erased the centre to near black using a near black pen and my Galaxy S23 Ultra stylus. A little more editing – using the HD Image function of AI Photo Editor (P2026) – and I got three versions of Considering it's humble origins and the minimalist approach to it's production, I'm very happy with it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought of Sunflower with Eclipse many years ago before I even started using Facebook. I have worked on many different versions since then and I think of them all going with the following Pink Floyd track.

๐Ÿ…ผ   PINK FLOYD - Eclipse.

๐—”๐—ฉ, incidentally, stands for ๐—” ๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ [a member of a group of Vincent Van Gogh aficionados (๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€)].

๐Ÿ…ผ   DON MCLEAN - Vincent.

If you zoom the image, you'll see that the eclipse is not total – there's an Earthy brown to the dark disc. This fits with the idea that the eclipsing object could be a dark star, a moon or even ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ต. ๐—” ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ณ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ง๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—˜๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜€๐—ฒ (๐—”๐—ฆ๐˜„๐—ง๐—˜) is easily created from the given image.

If you were to add some feet to the Samsung image, you would have a humanoid. But, it would have no arms. Interestingly, the alternative image using the FB emoji would have arms but no legs. Putting the two images together, you could have a humanoid plant with a torso, two arms, two legs and either one head or two. This plant is called TQZTS-wE goes with ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—™๐—น๐˜†๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜๐—ถ ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ and WE.

I printed out the days of the week using a daisy wheel printerโ’ป [of ๐—”๐—ป ๐—ข๐—น๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐˜†๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ ๐—˜๐—งโ’ป ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿณ ๐—ฃ๐—– (based on the Olivetti ET Personal 55)]. Curiously, sometimes in a print, all of the daisies are sunflowers. Only, aficionados of Vincent Van Gogh (The Vincents) know how or why.

What daisy of the week stands out for two reasons?

Wednesday is the day of the week between Tuesday and Thursday. According to international standard ISO 8601, it is the 3rd day of the week.

As well as daisy wheel printers, Daisy Chain/Train Printersโ’ป are also in use - while we work and play with allegorical stories involving metaphorical trains - and chains - of thought. Trains of thought can be associated with mental freedom; while chains of thought can be associated with mental slavery.
