Beyond The Ordinary
In the original (2006) Silent Hill movie, the dilapidated and cursed lodge the characters encounter is known as the Grand Hotel. In the iconic Silent Hill 2 game and the (2026) film adaptation Return to Silent Hill, the infamous accommodation where the final events unfold is called the Lakeview Hotel (referred to on some sets as the Divine Hotel).

In the first film, the Grand Hotel serves as an eerie, transitional landmark that the characters explore on their way deeper into the town's shifting, otherworldly reality.
Real-World Location: The chilling set for the Grand Hotel wasn't built on a soundstage; it was filmed inside the Lister Block in Hamilton, Ontario. Built in the 1850s, it was historically Canada's first indoor mall before suffering a major fire in 1923. The production team used the long-abandoned building before its major (2012) restoration.
