What is the verse 8 69 in the Quran?

(8:69) So eat that which you have obtained – for it is lawful and clean–and fear Allah. Surely Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Beyond The Ordinary

The original Woodstock Music and Art Fair took place 56 years ago, from August 15 to 18, 1969. Hosted on Max Yasgur’s dairy farm in Bethel, New York, this legendary festival featured 32 acts and drew an audience of around 400,000 people.

Although it was originally billed and scheduled as a 3-day event (Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17, 1969), logistical delays and massive crowds caused bands to play late into the night. Because of this, the final performances—including Jimi Hendrix's iconic morning set—spilled over into Monday, August 18, 1969.

On the 15th of August this year (2026), it will be the 57th anniversary of Woodstock.

Beyond the ordinary

Hair is deeply connected to Woodstock. While the musical was written and debuted before the famous 1969 festival, they are both iconic artifacts of the 1960s hippie counterculture, sharing the exact same themes of anti-war protest, free love, flower power, and ᐅ rejection of the establishment ᐊ. The connection between the two goes beyond just sharing an era.

Direct Crossover:

Several actors from the original Broadway cast of Hair actually performed at the real Woodstock festival in 1969. Most notably, the folk singer and songwriter Bert Sommer, who played the character Woof, performed a widely praised set at Woodstock.

Shared Cultural Significance:

Both the musical and the festival serve as time capsules for the Vietnam War era and the youth protests of the late 1960s. Their anthems, including songs like Aquarius and Let the Sun Shine In, became the soundtrack to that entire generation.

Anniversary Celebrations:

Due to their deep historical overlap, many revivals of Hair use Woodstock as a direct inspiration for their costumes and sets, and the musical is frequently staged at venues in and around Woodstock to commemorate the festival.

As well as a name used by a company that deals in digital images online, Shutterstock is also the name of a group of photographers who, as war correspondents and soldiers, are always shooting people and cutting their heads off.
